Felipe M. 676ffe37c5 Add RASKOG magnetic Skadis separator and skadis-board library
New lib/skadis-board generator produces a parametric IKEA Skadis-compatible
pegboard panel (40mm grid + 20mm offset grid), with standard and dense
density modes that both stay accessory-compatible.

New raskog-separator project: a customizable RASKOG cart divider whose
vertical wall is a Skadis panel, standing on an inverted-T magnetic foot.
Magnets glue into pockets that open at the bottom of the flange wings so
they sit flush against the basket's steel mesh; size/count/rows configurable.

RASKOG Magnetic Skadis Separator

Preview

A customizable divider for the IKEA RASKOG cart. The vertical wall is itself an IKEA Skadis pegboard panel, so real Skadis accessories hang on the divider. It stands on a wide magnetic foot whose magnets grab the steel wire-mesh floor of the basket to hold the divider in place — pick bigger or more magnets for a stronger hold.

The Skadis hole pattern comes from the shared lib/skadis-board generator (40 mm grid + 20 mm offset grid). Choose the standard Skadis layout or a dense full-grid variant — both stay compatible with off-the-shelf Skadis accessories.

Fit

The default wall_width (270 mm) spans the RASKOG short axis with clearance for the basket's inward taper. Because the magnets hold the divider down, it does not need to wedge against the walls, so you can set any width and place it anywhere. Basket interior, measured at the floor:

Basket Width Length
Bottom 288 mm 405 mm
Middle 284 mm 397 mm
Top 278 mm 389 mm

Magnets

Magnets are glued into pockets that open at the bottom of the foot's two flange wings, so each magnet sits flush against the steel mesh for the strongest hold (set magnet_recess above 0 to recess/protect them instead). Defaults suit 6 × 3 mm discs; 8 × 3 mm fit at the default flange width. For larger discs, increase foot_flange_w — the asserts tell you when a magnet is too close to the neck or the flange edge.

Printing

Print standing exactly as modeled (foot flat on the bed, wall up). It is support-free apart from the few-mm ceiling each magnet pocket bridges over: the magnet pockets open downward onto the bed, and the wall slots are vertical ovals that self-support. Use a brim if your printer needs help with the tall thin wall.

Note: the default 270 mm wall exceeds many printer beds (~256 mm). Reduce wall_width, or split a long divider into two and butt them together.

Parameters

Separator Wall

Parameter Default Description
wall_width 270 mm Wall length (X); default spans the RASKOG short axis with clearance
wall_height 80 mm Skadis board height above the foot (Z)
wall_thickness 5.0 mm Board thickness; keep ~5 mm for Skadis accessory compatibility
wall_density standard standard checkerboard or dense full 20 mm grid
wall_slot_width 5.0 mm Slot short axis (Skadis nominal)
wall_slot_height 15.0 mm Slot long axis (Skadis nominal)
wall_edge_chamfer 1.0 mm Countersink at each slot mouth; 0 = sharp
wall_corner_r 4 mm Outer board corner radius

Magnetic Foot

Parameter Default Description
foot_flange_w 34 mm Flange total width (Y) — the wide base that resists tipping
foot_flange_h 6 mm Flange height (Z) — must contain the magnet pocket + floor
neck_w 6 mm Central neck width (Y); must be ≥ wall_thickness
foot_height 12 mm Top of the neck where the wall begins (Z)
foot_edge_chamfer 1.0 mm Chamfer on the foot's bottom edges (anti elephant-foot)
join_fillet_r 2.0 mm Concave fillet where the neck meets the flange top (strength)
merge_overlap 3 mm How far the wall base sinks into the neck for a solid union

Magnets

Parameter Default Description
magnet_diameter 6 mm Magnet disc diameter
magnet_height 3 mm Magnet disc thickness
magnet_rows 2 2 = one per wing (anti-tip); 1 = single offset row
magnet_per_row 3 Magnets along the foot in each row
magnet_fit_clear 0.2 mm Radial clearance around each magnet (glue gap)
magnet_recess 0.0 mm How far the magnet sits above the bottom face; 0 = flush for the strongest grip
magnet_inset 18 mm Distance from the foot ends to the first/last magnet

Coordinate system

Axis Direction
X Wall length (along the basket axis being divided)
Y Thin direction (foot width + wall thickness)
Z Up; origin at the center of the foot footprint, on the basket floor
