Fillet back-plate front-face perimeter
Replace the corner-cylinder hull in back_plate() with a hull of
rotate_extruded posts whose top-right 2D corner is filleted, so the
back plate's front-face perimeter rounds smoothly into the side walls
while the back face stays flat against the pegboard. Adds the
back_front_fillet_r parameter (default 1.0 mm).

Skadis Coffee Tamper Holder

Preview

IKEA Skadis pegboard holder for a coffee tamper that ships in a tamper cup (designed around a Normcore 58mm tamper inside its 64mm cup). The cup drops open-end-up into the holder's pocket; the tamper rests on top of the cup with its tamping face protected.

Mounting (T-Clip system)

Mounts to the Skadis pegboard via the T-Clip system from Printables #256896. The slot + recess geometry is provided by lib/skadis-t-clip, which the holder consumes via use <../lib/skadis-t-clip/skadis-t-clip.scad>. The narrow upper section carries a single Skadis-pattern pill-shaped through-slot surrounded by a circular recess that seats the printed clip's cap. Print the clip separately and use it like this:

  1. Hold the holder against the pegboard so the slot lines up with a pegboard slot.
  2. Push the clip's stem through both slots (clip's long axis parallel to the slot, i.e. vertical).
  3. Twist the clip 90 degrees — the cap is now perpendicular to the slot and sits flush in the recess, locking the holder in place.

The cup pocket itself is wide and prevents rotation around the single mount point. Set mount_count = 2 if you want a second slot 40mm above for additional restraint.

Print orientation

Print upright (Z up, back plate vertical, cup pocket axis vertical). The pocket floor sits flat on the bed and all walls print as vertical extrusions. A brim helps with the small footprint.

Parameters

Tamper Cup

Parameter Default Description
cup_diameter 64 mm Outer diameter of the tamper cup
cup_pocket_depth 10 mm How far the cup sits in the holder
cup_tolerance 0.4 mm Radial clearance around the cup, per side
cup_floor 4 mm Pocket floor thickness (0 = open bottom)
cup_drain_diameter 50 mm Drainage / pass-through hole in the floor (0 = solid)
cup_front_cut_width 30 mm Front-cut window so the cup is graspable (0 = closed)

Holder Body

Parameter Default Description
pocket_wall 4 mm Wall thickness around the cup pocket
merge_overlap 3 mm Overlap between cup pocket and back plate at the merge plane

Skadis Mount

Parameter Default Description
mount_count 1 Number of slot rows (1 = compact; 2 prevents rotation under heavy loads)
mount_pitch 40 mm Vertical pitch between slots (Skadis standard)
back_thickness 5.4 mm Back-plate thickness at the thickest part (the rim around the recess); thinnest = back_thickness clip_recess_depth
back_margin 6 mm Margin around the slot recess on the back plate
back_corner_r 4 mm Outer corner radius of the back plate

Skadis Slot

Parameter Default Description
skadis_slot_width 5.0 mm Pill-slot width (Skadis nominal 5 mm)
skadis_slot_height 15.0 mm Pill-slot length (Skadis nominal 15 mm)
clip_recess_diameter 22.2 mm Cylindrical recess diameter on the front face
clip_recess_depth 2.9 mm Recess depth; thinnest wall at the slot = back_thickness clip_recess_depth
